Give your eyes some colorful love with this simple and subtle eyeshadow tutorial.

Tools You Need:

Eyeshadow Palette

Eyeshadow Brush

Before starting, choose 2 colors that you’d like to use on your lids: a light/neutral and darker shade.

Step 1: Prime

Lightly apply primer to your lids with your fingers or a brush and allow a few seconds to dry. Remember, primer helps your makeup stay put and keeps it vibrant throughout the day, so you don’t want to skip this step.

Step 2: Apply Your Base

Starting with your light shade, dip your brush into your chosen color and apply it across your entire lid and stop just above the crease of your eye. Blend out until it appears natural.

Step 3: Contour Your Lids

Run your brush over the darker color and lightly tap to remove any excess product to avoid a cakey or messy finish. Then apply the shade from the outer corner of the base your eyelids towards your crease and blend it into your lids using a half circle motion. Stop applying when you get to the center of your lids. Blend well by sweeping your brush back and forth a few times to get a natural effect. This step gives you more definition and that wow-factor you’re going for.

Step 4: Repeat steps 1-3 on your other eye.
